"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
~Jeremiah 29:11-13
For each of us there is always a question that we are asked when we are little and as we grow up. What do you want to be when you grow up? Or when you get to be older what are your plans for college and what do you want to study? In a few months I'll technically be an adult. I still don't know what I want to do with my life. I don't even know exactly where I'll go to college. I may not know what I'm going to do, but I trust that God will show me. His plan is far greater than any of mine.
At one point or another in all of our lives we don't know what is going to happen or what we want to do about some things. When we find ourselves at this point in our lives there is one thing that we should all do. We need to look to God because His plan is so much greater than our plans. He will protect us and help us through if we trust Him.
God tells the prophet Jeremiah that when we call upon Him and pray He will listen to us. God who created the heavens and the earth will listen to us when we call His name. It's will never cease to amaze me how even though we all have problems and we all struggle that God our Heavenly Father still hears our every cry and sees each tear that falls. He does care no mater what we've done.
At times in our lives we may wonder where God is and what He's doing. We may go through trials such as the death of a friend or a flood that destroys your house. When we seek God and His purpose we learn that even though life can be hard at times He does have a plan and he works through the pain and confusion. When we trust God and seek Him in the hard times of our lives we will find Him. If we do as He told Jeremiah we will find Him if we seek Him with our whole heart.
